Welcome to CRCC
Whether you are from this neighborhood, somewhere else in the city, or just visiting Austin, thanks for choosing to worship with us. When you enter the building from the parking lot, you will be greeted by people who are glad to see you. We exist to glorify God and to serve one another.
From the large, open foyer you will be shown to Bible class at 9:00 a.m. and to the worship assembly at 10:00. You will likely meet several people on your way to class or worship, people who love to have conversation. Some will be in dress clothing, but many of our members are in casual dress. We are a mix of all age groups, and we are an inter-racial family. You will fit in.
Bible classes are offered for all ages. Youth teachers are prepared to have an active and engaging Bible class for your children. Adult teachers have open classes and invite discussion and participation. The classes are more informal than the worship assembly and focus on practical application of the Bible.
Our worship hour consists of prayer, acapella singing, preaching, remembering Jesus in the Lord’s Supper, and an opportunity for freewill contributions to the Lord’s cause. One of our elders welcomes the congregation and various men lead the worship service, which lasts about an hour. Sometimes people respond to the gospel for prayers or for baptism.
At the close of our service, it is common for our members to spend a long time visiting with one another and engaging visitors. We truly would like to know you better and learn how we can serve you.
